Controller
NOA Design + Construction is an integrated design and construction company. We specialize in remodels and new construction of high-end residential properties in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area. We are a small business, founded in 2016, with our principal office located in Oakland. NOA is a family-oriented company with a great team and exciting projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage financial operations including A/P, A/R, billing, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash flow management.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Prepare job cost reports, subcontractor, and project reconciliations.
Facilitate year-end close, 1099 filing, adjusting JE’s.
Coordinate annual audits and tax returns.
Budgeting, forecasting and analysis for annual budget.
Maintain state registration, business, and tax licenses.
Manage daily cash and banking functions.
Supervise accounting and purchasing department.
Utilize accounting and project management software.
Develop and maintain the system of internal accounting controls and financial reporting.
Manage HR in conjunction with Professional Employer Organization (PEO)
Operational Duties- Manage remote office space, work with outsourced IT Department, and additional tasks as required.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
5-10 years accounting or finance experience at management level
Experience in construction required
Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and methods
Experience with QuickBooks and Procore a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization and time management skill, for short- and long-term projects
Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Word, and Excel and ability to learn/use other software programs.
Excellent references from previous employers.
